Testimony of Lola Belez
We also visited with Lola Belez who has been attending Los Ninos for a year. She was attending before that and stopped coming until she miscarried, at six months, twin babies. She went into a state of depression and desperation and her son Juan continued to complain to God. He wanted to know why God had taken his brothers from them. That spirit infected her heart even more until Lola’s boyfriend suggested she go back to church.site

Two months after reconnecting with the Lord and friends at Los Ninos Del Parque Church, Lola received a word of knowledge that led to her immediate healing. Lola learned that she needed to let go of the twins and give them back to God. When she did, she received God’s peace and healing.
Lola’s life journey brought the closure of her relationship of 10 years with her boyfriend. During their time together life had been really tough, a miscarriage, 8 years of denied requests for better housing; and even health concerns brought on by high blood pressure which prompted Lola’s doctor to warn her that she would most likely not be able to have more children after her miscarriage.
But just a month after the Lord set her free from depression, Lola and her boy friend decided to get married and do things God’s way for the first time in their lives. They learned that God was for them and not against them and that the …… Lord had, “plans to prosper them and not to harm them, plans to give them a hope and a future.
The next attempt to apply for better housing was blessed by God and it went through immediately. The Lord provided what they could not do on their own without him. In addition to being blessed with a better home, Lola shortly thereafter received another blessing from the Lord. She was pregnant.
Now eight months down the road in her pregnancy, and despite what her doctor had told her, she was able to get pregnant and her high blood pressure condition miraculously disappeared. Every time she saw the doctor he would share his concerns with her but she kept assuring him that everything would be fine, because God was in control in her life. Eventually the doctor changed his opinion of her pregnancy and health condition because of Lola’s faith in what God can do / and what he had already see him do for her.
Lola has become a great witness at the hospital. When she goes in she shares her story with great joy for the Lord and what he has done in her life.
Juan, Lola’s son was given the privilege of naming the new baby, and yes God has blessed them with a boy. His name is Isaiah Emmanuel, which means God is with us. Isaiah is their favorite scripture and prophet who foretold of the coming savior of the world, the abuse he would face and eventually this crucifixion.
Lola’s thought to everyone is this “Be totally happy, believe in God, and if you believe in his mighty name, what you ask for in prayer will be given.” When she came to the church she was empty inside. She thought it was because of the loss of the twins, but what she came to understand was her longing to know and walk closer with Christ. Lola’s journey with the Lord has been a great inspiration to her family to pursue a closer relationship with her Lord, Jesus Christ.
